My Inspiration
Florida Girl collective is truly a love story. The name was given to me by my sweetheart. When we first started dating, he would call me his "Florida Girl". As I started making candles and decided to name my hobby it was an easy choice. I am a Florida Girl and I love this beautiful state. I want my candles and fragrance to represent what that means to me.
Being a Florida girl doesn’t mean you have to be from Florida. Being a Florida Girl is a state of mind. Many people visit our state on vacation and fall in love with the beautiful natural resources that the state has to offer. From the reptiles found in the Everglades, to the manatees found in our coastal waters, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Not to mention our beaches, our citrus and produce, theme parks, diverse cultures and our food!
I love Florida. When I moved away for a short time in my early 20’s I had no idea that palm trees weren’t everywhere or that our beautiful white sand was special to just the beaches on the west coast of Florida. Not everyone grew up with an orange grove in their backyard or picking strawberries when in season in Plant City or even the little alligator in the pond that’s in every neighborhood. When I finally moved back, I knew that I was one of the lucky ones that could call Florida home. So, whether you lived here your whole life, just a few years or only vacationed here, the experience being in Florida is special. I love being a Florida Girl and I want to share that through aromas that make you feel that love.
